There are many places to visit that are only a short distance away. There are numerous medieval spots, Wye, Chilham, Rye, Canterbury, Leeds and Dover Castles
to name but a few. National Trust properties, windmills and oast houses are dotted all over the countryside.
Nearby are the world famous Howletts and Port Lympne Zoos and The Kent & East Sussex Steam Railway.
The Rare Breeds Centre and glorious sandy beaches are all very close. Or how about a trip to France. Travel by ferry from Dover or Folkestone, go by Eurostar or
take a day trip from Lydd Airport where you can also take short flights over Romney Marsh.
