There are many places to visit that are only a short distance away. There are numerous medieval spots, Wye, Chilham, Rye, Canterbury, Leeds and Dover Castles
to name but a few. National Trust properties, windmills and oast houses are dotted all over the countryside.
Nearby are the world famous Howletts and Port Lympne Zoos, The Kent & East Sussex Steam Railway, Godinton House & Gardens and Willesborough Windmill.
Canterbury, Margate (for the Turner Contempory Art Gallery), Maidstone, Leeds Castle, The Rare Breeds Centre and the north and south coasts are all within easy reach. Romney Marsh, with its glorious sandy beaches, and Dungeness are just a short drive.
